I’m Traci Richards Conner, and upholstery has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My grandparents owned Richards Upholstery, and as kids, we were put to work making cushion buttons almost as soon as we could stand on our own. As I grew older, my wonderful grandmother, Annabelle, passed down her skills to me—teaching me how to sew, shape foam, and bring beautiful fabrics together.
Though I eventually found myself in the corporate world, I never let go of this craft. I continued making cushions and recovering chairs for friends and family, finding joy in every project. For me, upholstery is more than just a hobby—it’s a heartfelt passion. Each piece holds a story, and I love helping others breathe new life into their furniture instead of letting it go to waste.
